Surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes, Riverstone is set in 10 acres of paddocks and garden running down to the Hawea River. Offering world class fishing, skiing, mountain biking and hiking the area is a hotspot for outdoor tourism.
The large country garden reflects the changing seasons and has several private areas from which to enjoy the surroundings with a backdrop of mountains.
The property is approximately 15 minutes drive from Lake Wanaka, and a five minute drive from Lake Hawea. Wanaka is the larger of the two townships and has a well stocked supermarket and several restaurants and bars. The Lake Hawea village has a small shop with provisions and a cafe, along with one hotel.
Tucked away, but convenient.
Take highway 6 from Albert Town to lake Hawea. After Camphill road- see map, you will go over a hill. At the bottom of the hill Te Awa road is on the right. You will see a group of letter boxes there. Go down the road as far as you can. Do not turn off. There is a big turning bay, which you drive past, then the road goes over a water race (empty in winter) and faces two stone gate posts. At these gate posts turn hard left and follow the gravel road all the way down, through the wooden black gates at the end, and you will arrive at Riverstone cottage. Park at the end of the cottage on the left.
